Because I love Diet Coke.

I painted the 'Diet Coke' lettering onto an old, dirty jar that I stumbled across, and dripped some Gesso onto it. This was the outcome.

Queen's Park can be a beautiful place, sometimes..

JD.

This is a photo I took recently of a bottle of whiskey for my latest art project. I've always loved taking photos of glass and bottles as they can capture so much intense light and colour (the whiskey helped in this case). I took this photo by placing the bottle on what I like to call my home-made light box-(I basically just shone a light under a glass table to create a luminous effect.) The lettering and design of the bottle itself makes it such an iconic drink.
This is a monoprint that I created from a photocopy of the photo. I was inspired to do this after seeing a poster advertising Jack Daniels in the Underground, which was a blown up lino print in black and white.

Associative Writing

This is an image that I created for my art exam unit, 2011. I took an image of glass chess pieces and used relevant text to enhance it. For this particular image, I got inspiration from Barbara Kruger, who's an artist that uses alot of text in her art, that sometimes addresses issues that exist in our society, such as feminism and consumerism.

For some good luck..

The Beginning.

Hello there, I'm Sneha, and I'm currently a sixth form student in London. I've created a few blogs in the past, but they sort of..well, dissolved away..mainly as I'm not very good at using them, but I'm determined to make this one last longer than my other short-lived ones.
I'm hoping that this will act as a virtual pin-board, where I can post images  that intrigue me, and also put up some of my works that perhaps define me as an artist.
I hope this goes well..LET THE MAGIC COMMENCE!
